During the Islamic era, Jordan was home of several religious battles. Yarmouk was the first Islam battle by Rashidun army in 636, and during the next 800 years Muslim continue to conquer Jordan.
Several fortresses, castles and important Holy shrines and tombs have left in our country, as a mark of Islam Empire, making Jordan a country with a rich history for Muslims to see.
Prophet Mohammad (Peace Be Upon) was born just southeast of Madaba and transited through Jordan since He was a Child. There is a tree which is said to be used by Him as a shelter. This tree is located near Safawi, in the Mafraq governorate. Definitely Jordan is a sacred land with important destinations for any pious Muslim.
