Today we head to the desert castles in eastern Jordan. First, we will visit Qasr Amra with its zodiac dome and the early paintings of Omayyad, then the fortress-like mysterious of Qasr Kharana and the Roman Black Basalt; a medieval Islamic fort at Azraq. Near to Azraq is an oasis, a unique wetland source of fresh water in approximately 12,000 square kilometers of desert. Visitors can see the natural and ancient built pools, a seasonally flooded marshland, and a popular place for bird watching in spring and autumn. Then we return to your Amman hotel or residence.
